so i come home from work, ready to celebrate as maren got a promotion at work - handle of jose and margarita mix in hand, break out the blender . . all is well until i sit down in the den ready to relax w/ my cold beverage on this über hot day

we have the windows open as normal as we don't have a/c and all i can hear is the hollar of the ummm 'houligans' outside . . "yo you fuckin' faggot, yo yo yo" and all kinds of loud slang and something a la 50¢ blasting from a car stereo, just another day in the neighborhood eh ? ? ?

when it's warm outside the 'kids' congregate pretty much outside our brownstone, i don't know why that is the spot of choice but it always has been . . and i say 'kids' loosely cuz they are probably ranging in age from 14 - 30 . . they annoy the shit out of me, even though they are kind'a nice (some of them) as i have to walk the 'gauntlet' they create when i come home from work . . but once i get home and sit down, i can hear them above everything else. . . above my stereo, above the tv . . . enough to drive a sane 26 year old out of her mind

now as some of you know my instant of yelling 'FUCKERS' out the window the other day . . that was a total moment of haste and the person i was yelling at was riding up and down and up down our street on a very loud motorized vehical, so . . the intended reciepient of my 'FUCKERS' didn't hear it, rather the rest of the 'hood did

so as i said, i'm beyond irratated this evening . . i get up to close the window and have the strongest urge to yell something very unlady-like out the window, but i stop myself . . ya see, i may very well be crazy, but you never know who may be crazier and come after your ass . . . something to always remember here in nyc, no matter how hard you wish to yell at the 'kids' outside or the person on the subway you would like nothing better than giving them a solid elbow in the sternum. . . for your own longevity, it's best to kill the urge

ok . . sounds relativly quiet (i can still hear them a bit but not to the extent of wanting to saunter outside with a 2x4) outside for now . . . time to return to the living room and carry on w/ maragrita madness
