the motivation & funding . . .

one can hardly appricate the efforts of getting home after a long & fun night quite like a brooklyn girl . . and what a great time i had tonight ... the short of it is i went to see rebrith brass brand w/ mitch and had a phenom. time and also there is much to be said for running into people you know at shows, like jesscia, running into people you know in a city this large is always welcomed . . so much fun & good music, so yeah... time to go home and i be damned to take the subway which could take and hour or more at this hour . .. i got twenty bucks and i'm gonna go far as i can . . . so i finally find a cab after running around in times square . . and there is no feeling like when it's 2:00am and watching the meter, how far will i get before my money runs out ? ? i watch the meter like it's my job ... and low and behold i'm less than a block from my place and it's like $16-something . .thank the lord!! i gladly shove my $20 in random bills at the driver and profusely thank him .. and much to my surprise he asks me if i'm alright and if i'm close enough after i've already gotten out of the car .. i say yes i'm fine . . and thank him so very much . . at this hour and w/ $20 . . i was very thankful to be home (and it taking about 15 minutes opposed to an hour) ... but man, what a great night
